Passage: Matthew 27:1-31

Bible Text: Matthew 27:1-31Series: Holy Week 2023 | Judas realizes the impact of his actions, and Jesus is brought before Pilate and condemned to be crucified.

Focus Verses:
1When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people conferred together against Jesus in order to bring about his death. 2They bound him, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate the governor.
3When Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he repented and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. 4He said, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.”

We encourage you to read the entire story found in the Gospel of Matthew 27:1-31, and think about these questions:

In what ways does fear poison our relationships at home and at work as well as in the larger world?
What one thing would you ask God to change about your life or the world?
How can you help in making that change happen?

Prayer:  Use us, Lord God, as instruments of peace in world too often broken by violence and a thirst for power. Amen.
We invite you to a
