Sunday worship begins at 9:30 AM
Our worship service typically runs 45-60 minutes
Bringing children into the sanctuary is like letting them eat at the dinner table. Even though their manners are far from elegant, it’s done in the hope that, given time, they’ll begin to feel like a part of the church family
Children giggle, whisper, ask questions out loud and show other forms of restlessness simply because they’re children. They also sing, pray and give with us. By accepting and valuing their presence (and restlessness) during worship, we also trust that they are learning:
- That it is important to come to church each Sunday
- That they belong to this special group of people
- The the sights, sounds and feel of the sanctuary is good, even if it’s not always understandable
- That their participation in church is valued, and that they may respond in song, prayer and/or offering
We always welcome children in the sanctuary, but we also realize that some parents prefer to have their children in a nursery setting during worship.
Our nursery is available to all Pre-K age children and is located in the education wing and is open Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 11:45. Parents may choose to check out a pager so the nursery attendant may signal them if needed.
